Fuchsia's are an extremely beautiful flower and extremely enjoyable to paint. I may be painting many more of these since the color
possibilities are endless.
This I believe is my most beautiful classic rose. The real rose was only sold for a short time by Jackson & Perkins Roses. I don't
understand why because I feel it is truly their most exquisite rose. This is the perfect painting for any home. This is like giving roses
but this will last an eternity.
When I started out painting this I had intended to paint a pink oriental lily, but halfway through painting this I realized I must change
the name of it. You see sometimes I am influenced by things I am not even aware of. I had met a man the previous week named Todum Hair. I
was still on cloud nine after meeting him. I was now at an art show in Nichols Hills. I know I drove my neighboring artists insane by my
constant chatter for three days straight about Todum Hair and Indian's in general. I swear I must have told them everything I knew about
Indians.
I have always had a special place in my heart for orange. Many artists feel that certain colors are taboo because people may not like
them. Me, I always paint for me first and always. I feel the people who like them are the ones I want to know anyway.
Again this picture caught my eye because of the different shades or orange and red. I always will try to find room in a painting for at
least one of these colors.

A Single Rose
Sometimes a single rose can mean more than several dozen. I wanted to illustrate that fact with this rose. Its beauty cannot be matched
when your mind isn't forced to decide among the many. View my latest work at my new gallery Xanadu Art Gallery
